In the gallery of mem'ries there are pictures bright and fair, and I find that dear old Butler is the brightest one that's there. Alma mater, how we love thee, with a love that ne'er shall fade, and we feel we owe a debt to thee that never can be paid.

hi!
just wanted to write and say hello! how is everything at home? hopefully well after your travel-filled weekend! i'm doing pretty well....
although i've worked at my job for a few weeks now, today was my very first day as a real teller. since i went to that other branch all last week for Teller School, they gave me my very own drawer (i'm teller and drawer number five!) and also my very own set of keys. a funny story i forgot to tell you about teller school - in the class, most of what we did was to process fake transactions with fake money, but use the real computer system. well on my last day, during lunch break, i went next door to the bank to a cookie store (they are DELICIOUS cookies let me tell you). i thought i was paying for the cookies but the lady at the register looked at me funny, and i realized i accidentally tried to pay her with some fake dimes we'd been using in class! oops! ....
kinda like that song from when i was little we used to sing about trying to buy doughnuts with wooden nickels ....
anyway, back to today, i started my very first day as a teller in the drive through, since that way i didnt have to start with a customer watching my every single move. usually, during the first week or two weeks, they have the new tellers sharing a drawer with another, more experienced teller. but i did so well my first few hours that they just let me go alone pretty much most of the day. let me tell you what, the day goes a lot faster when you're actually doing stuff instead of just observing....
i was hoping to come home this wekend maybe, but it turns out i have to work on saturday...
booo! maybe next weekend?!?!?! i know they always make sure we have at least one weekend per month off, so i guess i'll have to wait and see when mine comes up! my schedule is:
Today (Monday): 8:15-5:15
Tuesday: 11:00-2:00
Wednesday: 7:30-4:30
Thursday: 9:00-6:30
Friday: 1:00-6:30
Saturday: 8:30-12:30
Sort of weird hours! hope i can get used to all the different start and finish times....
i hope to use tomorrow afternoon or friday morning to look into grad schools...
hopefully thats a good time when i'm not too tired. Today I returned those extra curtain rods to home depot ....
look for a $10 credit on your visa bill! after another attempt, still havent figured out how to get our consarned pilot light started...
i guess i'll have to call igor or leonid tomorrow...
there must be some trick to it beyond the instructions that are printed on the inside of the furnace. oh yes - also, mom, i called the newspaper office, and they said we didn't owe them anything. i apparently just got the bill because although they received your payment on the weekend, it didnt process with the billing department until after they'd sent the letter. whewwww....
also, they sent me a new sunday paper since my original was not all there. i called today and cancelled my chase bank account ...
FINALLY!!! now that whole mess is over! YAY! okayyy i guess its time to go ride my bike, before it gets too late ....
(definitely couldnt ride outside today..
it rained the ENTIRE DAY!!!)
miss you!!
love
andrea!
