Lem728: i'm going to tell him i dont know what i wnat my major to be and that i want to take more general classes

AParr728: you know isaac is studying graphic arts and supposedly you can make a living at that - what do you think about that subject?
Lem728: i'd venture the guess that thats all he knows a ton about
Lem728: i want to find out more about lots of majors, i'd be interested in learning about it
AParr728: i wasn't too impressed with isaacs curriculum, from what i heard about it, but there are probably many ways to apprach it

AParr728: it's okay to try out some options, since you're studying something that you'll be involved with for years

Lem728: the ballerinas are all go ing to see dave matthews band in the summer, and i reeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaally wanted to go, so i used it to pay for my ticket

Lem728: i bought a shirt too, but with the tuition account money

Lem728: she is working hard this semester because she took on 3 parts for the ballet at the end of hte year plus some senior pieces
Lem728: so she's always busy

Lem728: yes, i'll just work harder during the week
Lem728: i am so ready for a visit home
Lem728: since libby has been gone so much i spend a lot of time during the week alone in the room, and its good to get some studying done, but it gets boring pretty quick
AParr728: i bet - it's a big adjustment to suddenly live somewhere else, stressful even it's it mostly positive

AParr728: i know you have lots of friends, but are they friends you want to spend any time with?

Lem728: but when i'm not in class or eating its kind of odd hours, not a lot of people looking for a visit, lots of napping

AParr728: glad you're digging into calc - it would be too bad to have to take it again
AParr728: does it feel like review for calculus, or are you really learning it for the first time?

Lem728: when i'm studying now? its a review for the most part
Lem728: but hwat we are learning in class is completely new
AParr728: if you didn't do well on the tests the first time around, i assume it means you didn't learn it well at that time
AParr728: but it's good if you're reviewing now and finding it all familiar at least

Lem728: i just dont like it at all
Lem728: but despite all my work, if i STILL fail, and i change majors, maybe i DONT have to take it again!
AParr728: it would be required for most professional fields i guess
AParr728: in science and math areas anyway

AParr728: statistics is another good basic course to take - when you're registering for next semester, it would be a course that would be good for most fields of study

AParr728: statistics isn't much math, and necessary for anything that involves research

AParr728: unfortunately, he was in a car accident last week and died from the injuries, only 48 years old

AParr728: travis suggested riding ragbrai as a memorial ride for him next summer, we'll have to think of some way to do that

AParr728: a lot of sites have sales - like teamestrogen.com, terry or performance, i ordered a couple of sleeveless jerseys for cheap, but haven't found any shorts.

AParr728: maybe when you come home for easter you could bring a pair of shorts or two back!

Lem728: actually i'm planning on bringing a lot of stuff back
Lem728: so i can make it in one trip at the end of the year
AParr728: on holy saturday, i told you grandma and i are going to the shower - you could come too, but we have to leave about 8 a.m.
AParr728: and get home about 2 or 3 i suppose, then church in the evening - if you want time with your friends that weekend you might not want to go - you'll see grandma on sunday
