In the gallery of mem'ries there are pictures bright and fair, and I find that dear old Butler is the brightest one that's there. Alma mater, how we love thee, with a love that ne'er shall fade, and we feel we owe a debt to thee that never can be paid.

To Whom It May Concern,

Please consider me for the advertised position of Commission Advertising Sales Representative. My experiences in Graphic Design for an Indiana-based newspaper, my studies in English and my strong people skills make me the best candidate for the position.

During the first week of my internship at the Indianapolis Business Journal Corporation, I was given the honor and responsibility of work with clients to develop and design all classified ads for the Indianapolis Business Journal weekly newspaper. Before I began the assignment, I knew I would enjoy using computers and utilizing my graphic design skills to create advertisements. However, the real-world experience of my internship revealed to me an interest that I never knew or would have guessed I had. Namely, the joy and satisfaction of cooperating with clients to complete an advertisement. Although sometimes this meant having to edit and reshape an ad in excess of five times during the week, the result was always worth the effort. Not only did each experience produce an ad that was better than the client or I could have made alone, but every one brought a lesson or strategy that increased my design skills and my ability to make better ads in the future. Classified ad sales increased 33 percent during my time with the newspaper. I believe that these skills I have nurtured during my internship at the Indianapolis Business Journal Corporation can be put to great use with your company.

Although this has been a fairly brief synopsis of my experience, I believe it is an accurate depiction of my enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and an outline of a few of my abilities. My resume contains additional information on my background and skills. I hope that my resume and this letter have created interest in myself and that I will be granted an interview. I am enthusiastically looking forward to further correspondence to arrange a meeting. I can be reached by telephone, at (319) 321-8773, by E-mail at andrea@hotmail.com or by mail at the address listed above. Thank you so much for your time and consideration!

Best of wishes,

Andrea

Hi!
A while back one of you asked me how to turn on the lights in the numbers on david's phone. I dont remember which one of you it was but oh well, i thought i'd tell you both. actually, michael figured out how to do it. anyways so what you do is:go to "Menu"then push "7" to go to the "Setup" menuthen select "display" (which should be number 2 on the Setup menu)then select "backlight" which is number 5 on the "display" menuthen select "keypad" which is the 2nd item on the menuthen select the length of time for which you want the numbers to be lit- 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 15 seconds or all the time. this should work, i'm pretty sure its what michael did to make my phone's numbers/keys light up.hope you are both having an awesome week (especially you, david, on spring break LUCKY) (and especially wiht your nice new flatscreen TV!!!!)
miss you
