hi mom!
i cant believe you got snow! good thing it was yesterday instead of a day earlier! we just had some drizzly rain, thats all. the forecasts say maybe on saturday we'll get some .... i guess it really is warmer here. i tried my space heater last night and this morning and it works pretty good. the fan is pretty loud, but i guess that's good so i always know when its on. when you send the box could you maybe include a new purple inhaler? i have only 11 puffs left on it.... oooooops. the things i KNOW i left behind are my courderoy brown peacoat and i wanted to bring back an uno game. the comforter is great, i had it on my bed last night, i sandwich it between my heavy sheet and my comforter soooo comfy. i tried to set up my turntable i brought back, and it plays, but there is a lot of feedback, so i still have to work on it. i had to put it on top of my fridge so i displaced a lot of things, and i went and bo! ught little shelves from meijer to help save space.
went to talk to the dean yesterday, but it was a group meeting and 20 minutes before i had a class so it wasnt a very long one. he did ask to make sure i got into 5 classes and which ones i was waiting for. he seemed to suggest that i'd get into one of the ones i was still waiting for, they were still working out the kinks in the journalism department.
i've got a bunch of big things due coming up, not this week, but the 2 after, duh, the last two weeks of school who would have guessed? but i'm starting work on my projects now so i dont freak out then. libby's nutcracker is all this week, so she's super busy and going nuts herself, and her parents are coming from california to see it. garrett's coming this weekend too, he wants to see libby dance, and i guess me too haha, and his sister has a school schedule like lee's where she doesnt have school again until next year. anyway, libby and i have some cleaning up to do before our guests arrive, her parents are going to stay in a hotel but garrett will have to sleep in the living room and well those couches are just a liiiiittle bit stinky. anyway, gotta finish getting ready for work. how's royal doing? still swimming happily? .... i got your letter to colleen, that would be great if i could work, but if i dont i under! stand and i'll survive, i'll just be sure to save up enough for rent before i come home. anyway, hope you have a good day at work!

hi!
i was going to call tonight, but i caught michael online and he said neither of you were home! guess i'll try and catch you tomorrow. i keep forgetting indiana' 9 is really iowa's 8. how's everything going at home? dad, glad to be back at work? : P i heard albert's going overseas? where is he going and when? do i get to see him before he leaves again? i'll have to be sure and send him some letters. did you get michael to take his Sr. pictures yet? you made me take mine by this time didnt you? 'cause i had wisdom tooth problems over halloween....
in indiana news, we still havent caught the mouse, libby saw it jump out of her trash can last night ... ewwwww we have the trap set upstairs now, but i say if we leave it longer in one spot the better, it'll smell less like humans and more like tasty morsel. i'm definitely emptying my trash can like every 10 minutes now.
that goldfish i won at the fair is probably the most annoying fish i have ever had. i just recently moved it from its place in the kitchen to my bedroom, and its constantly going up to the top of the water and .... well i dont know what its doing. it kidn of smacks its fishy lips on the top of the water, like its breathing just where the water meets air, and it goes PIP PIP PIP .... all the time.... when i'm trying to sleep i just want to put the fish in the indianapolis canal and let it fend for itself. i change the water all the time but it doesnt help. anyway....
i've been trying to schedule classes the last few days, and its been horrible. although they DID change my health grade (finally!!). i need 5 classes this next semester, but only got into 3. two are english classes, and one is journalism. i'm waitlisted for 3 other journalism, but my advisor said if i was farther on the wait list than position 4 i'd probably not get in. and on one class i'm in position 9 and one i'm 10. the other class i'm position 1 so i think i'll be okay in that one, but i still need that one more mystery class. i've been emailing back and forth with my advisor and she's COMPLETELY worthless, she just keeps being like dont' you have any interests? take random classes. so i wrote an email asking the Dean what to do, because he'll probably actually answer my questions. i'm planning on taking ONE elective class and one more journalism class, i'll blue card in if i have to.
as far as school NOW is concerned, i'm doing well, but i have a test in pretty much every class this week, so its been stressful. all the teachers want to make it so we dont have work over thanksgiving break, but couldnt they spread it out a little more? oh well, not too much longer now. i can't wait i've only been home once this semester! i cant believe it. but it HAS seemed like forever.
we had another bike club meeting tonight, and i'm really excited. we're probably going to get a sponsorship from a company here in town that sells wheels called Zipp, i dont know if you've ever heard of them, i hadnt until now but apparently they're very nice (and expensive) wheels. they're going to give the ones with defects in the hole where the presta valve goes through ('cause they cant sell those) for free.... ding ding ding and we also are forging deals with area bike shops which = 20% or more discount on parts! oh yes and we'll also be doing a lot of racing in the spring. there are a few afternoon rides i think i can take part in, but other than that it will be too cold for me .... i dont have ANY warm bike clothes. thankfully we're planning mostly indoor training coming up, we're getting a $1000 grant from butler student activities and we're going to buy trainers like mine.
anyway, i've got to get working on my last piece of homework, i'm studying for my mass communications test tomorrow. hopefully i'll talk to you tomorrow night!

AParr728: I used cement blocks from the fallen cement silo and set them down in 2 rows so you drive onto the cement. I dug out where they are set (like I did the brick paths in the back yard.

sorry i missed your call this evening!!! libby and i went to columbus this weekend and we were driving back in the car and i didnt hear! how was halloween at home? i wish i could have been there, i hate missing holidays at home. how was miami? bet teh weather was a lot better than indiana! could you maybe send me a purple inhaler in the mail? i've got only 2 days left on mine! i dont know how i always let it get so low.... i really should be marking that in my planner or something. anyway, just wanted to send an email to let you know i'm alive, i'll call monday night after class, although it might be late, we're doing presentations and could very well last until 9:45. if i dont get through tomorrow, i'll try again tuesday night!
